From 2004 to date, the society has been fervently raising awareness and providing free rehabilitation to people with Parkinson’s and their families in India. This has largely been due to the immense support of the founder of PDMDS, reknowned Neurologist Dr B. S Singhal and the untiring efforts of Dr Maria Barretto and her team.
From a single Parkinson’s center in Mumbai, PDMDS has now extended its reach to over 50+ centers all over India.
The proceeds from ticket sales will be utilized towards the “Reaching the Unreached” initiative of the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society. This initiative aims to create Parkinson’s rehabilitation and support centres in smaller towns, rural and tribal areas in India where there are no resources available for people with Parkinson’s and their families.
